Centenary of the 'Warwick egg incident'

To mark the centenary of the notorious 'Warwick egg incident' of 1917, when Prime Minister Billy Hughes was 'egged' at Warwick train station while campaigning for wartime conscription, a public event is being staged with local historians discussing the incident's significance.

The event will take place at the Goods Shed, Warwick Railway Station, in Lyons St, Warwick, on Saturday 18 November from 10AM - 12.30PM. For more details, see the link to the event flyer below, and the link following to the event booking site.
